Training information is listed in the upcoming events on the home page. You may also find information on the Battlefields Council site.
Note: Contact your Area Commissioner or DAC Adult Development through your Group Commissioner for more information and on how to apply for the courses offered. Applications are also available through the Southwestern Admin Centre at 1-888-SCOUT NOW (1-888-726-8876).
Don't forget that Part 1 training for all sections is available on-line at any time. See myscouts.ca for details. (You may need help from an experienced "myscouts" user to get started.)
Sign up for a training course as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Courses that do not have a minimum number of registrations by a certain date may be cancelled.
Part of your duties as a volunteer leader is to complete at least Part 1 training during the leader's first year. But there are many other sources of help and inspiration including Scouter's Club which meets once a month at Calder Community Centre in Grimsby.
The Area Service Team is also available to assist any leader, as well as to run area-wide activities such a bowling and Kub Kars. Be sure to take advantage of these benefits.
